Privacy Policy

The MDBug Privacy Policy describes how we handle any personal information when you use any of MDBug's online services.

All of MDBug's services requires a user account to access many of our services. MDBug asks for some personal information when you create an MDBug Account, including contact information and a password. These personal information is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

All your account activity, messages, updated content and all other data related to your account is stored and processed in MDBug so that we can provide the service to you.

When you use MDBug, MDBug's servers automatically record certain information about your use of MDBug. Similar to other web services, MDBug records information such as account activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins), data displayed or clicked on (including UI elements, ads, links); and other log information (including browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and referrer URL).

MDBug also connects with 3rd party vendors for health care users. We do not provide them any additional information other than what they already have on file, including but not limited to account information, UPINS and NPI.

The MDBug service includes relevant advertising and related links based on the IP address, content of messages and other information related to your use of MDBug.

MDBug's servers process the specific information, such as demographic and diagnosis information for patients and personal profile for doctors and staff. This information will be used for the purposes of displaying advertisements and related links only. This information will be used internally and the specific details of the information will never, without your consent, be provided, given or shared with any 3rd party vendors, partners or other non associated users.

MDBug may send you information related to your MDBug account or other MDBug services.

Many of MDBug's services include sharing of public information, such as but not limited to blogs, forums, questions and answers, voting, doctors' note templates, doctors' macros, doctors' online forms templates, doctors' public and global resources. This shared content is considered public domain for all to see and use.

We provide advertisers only aggregated non-personal information such as the number of times one of their ads was clicked. We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the MDBug Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.

Many of MDBug's services have content whic are considered private such as but not limited to progress notes, patient demographic information, patient medical information, secure emails, worklists.

MDBug only allows the associated doctors of a patient to view his or her private content.

MDBug only allows the associated doctors of the clinic to view the progress notes of the clinic. MDBug also allows the clinic to view the secure email interactions between the clinic and its patients, and all clinical worklists.

You may change your MDBug account settings through the MDBug "my settings" section for patients or under the setup tab for health care patients. You may manage your personal settings such as changing username and passwords and personal information.

Also you can manage the doctor-patient association under the security tab for patients or under setup for healthcare patients. The Patient is responsible for maintaining proper doctor-patient associations. The clinic is responsible for maintaining proper clinical group associations between the clinic and the health care users.


To uphold the quality and reputation of MDBug, your use of MDBug is subject to these program policies. If you are found to be in violation of our policies at any time, as determined by MDBug in its sole discretion, we may warn you or suspend or terminate your account.

Users may not:

Generate or facilitate unsolicited commercial ("spam"). Such activity includes, but is not limited to
  • Imitating or impersonating another person or his, her or its email address, or creating false accounts for the purpose of sending spam
  • Send, upload, distribute or disseminate or offer to do the same with respect to any unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Intentionally distribute viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or any other items of a destructive or deceptive nature
  • Conduct or forward pyramid schemes and the like
  • Transmit content that may be harmful to minors
  • Impersonate another person (via the use of an email address or otherwise) or otherwise misrepresent yourself or the source of any email
  • Illegally transmit another's intellectual property or other proprietary information without such owner's or licensor's permission
  • Use MDBug to violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others
  • Promote or encourage illegal activity
  • Interfere with other MDBug users' enjoyment of the Service
  • Create multiple user accounts in connection with any violation of the Agreement or create user accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretenses
  • Sell, trade, resell or otherwise exploit for any unauthorized commercial purpose or transfer any MDBug account
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or reverse engineer any portion of the MDBug Service
  • Remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the MDBug Service
  • Reformat or frame any portion of the web pages that are part of the MDBug Service
  • Use the MDBug Service in connection with illegal peer-to-peer file sharing

    You must promptly notify MDBug of any breach of security related to the Services, including but not limited to unauthorized use of your password or account. To help ensure the security of your password or account, please sign out from your account at the end of each session.

    Account Inactivity
    MDBug will terminate your account in accordance with the Terms of Use if you fail to login to your account for a period of nine months.
